Susie McGregor has been writing songs all her life and she has been very fortunate to have had the opportunity to write with and learn from many very accomplished writers.

Susie enjoyed competing in singing contests as a child, and formed many friendships throughout them. This is one of the reasons Susie was inspired to create and produce singing contests.

Celebrating and nurturing talent is a passion for Susie.

Attending Music Business conferences was also a passion for Susie, learning about the business side and networking with other artists and industry people, were some of the highlights, but Susie also felt frustrated that many of the seminars she wanted to attend were being held at the same time in different rooms, so this inspired her to create The Vancouver Island Music Business Conference, aka (VIMBC).

VIMBC brought industry professionals, artists, songwriters together in the beautiful Comox Valley.

The conference grew bigger every year, and eventually Susie created The Great Canadian Song Race to run in tandem with VIMBC.

Susie enjoys putting on songwriting workshops, and retreats.

The Great Canadian Song Race was one of Susie’s favorite events (she created and produced) and is working on the plans for the next Race.
